Synopsis
In a story depicted in oil painted animation, a young man comes to Vincent van Gogh’s last hometown to deliver the troubled artist’s final letter and ends up investigating his final days there. As remarkable as Vincent’s brilliant paintings are his passionate and ill-fated life and mysterious death.
Director
Dorota Kobiela is a painter who discovered animation and film, and immediately threw herself into these new disciplines. She has directed one live action short film, The Hart in Hand and five animated shorts. Hugh Welchman is a filmmaker who has produced films for Monty Python and for himself, Peter and the Wolf is the most popular. Both wrote and directed Loving Vincent.
