Synopsis

In 1535, an alchemist built an extraordinary mechanism that granted its possessor eternal life. Four hundred years later, the strange object in the shape of a golden insect comes into the hands of an antique dealer, but the old and sick Ángel de la Guardia knows the powers of the artifact and will do anything to get it.

Director

His debut feature, Cronos, won nine Ariel awards and two more at the Sitges Festival. Pan's Labyrinth, winner of three Oscars, achieved his international consolidation. In addition to his work as a director, he has produced projects by other directors, such as The Orphanage and The Thin Yellow Line. He then directed Crimson Peak, The Shape of Water, and his most recent film, Pinocchio.
