Synopsis
It narrates a historical moment, unique in Latin America, in which an indigenous leader becomes president to re-found Bolivia. His name is Evo Morales Ayma, a son of peasants who was born in the midst of poverty in the Bolivian highlands and throughout his life faced the power that for centuries had plundered and dominated his country. In 2019, after his fourth electoral triumph, a putsch attacked the hopes of the process of change. From exile, Evo fought alongside the Bolivian people to recover democracy and sovereignty, and so that the wiphala (flag of the indigenous peoples) would once again fly over his homeland.
