Synopsis

Martínez, a lonely and grumpy bureaucrat is forced to accept his retirement when Pablo, his replacement, arrives at the office. At the same time, a neighbor is found dead in Martinez's building, which has left her a gift and upon finding the woman's belongings, her curiosity is aroused. Her name was Amelia. Due to a misunderstanding, Pablo thinks that Martínez has a girlfriend named Amalia, and the problem is that Martínez begins to believe it too and is immersed in his fantasy by starting a love affair with her through his old belongings.

Director

She studied for an MFA in Dramatic Writing at NYU as a Fulbright Scholar. She co-wrote 499, a documentary by Rodrigo Reyes. Martínez is her First Feature, which participated in Berlinale Talents, Torino Film Lab, CineQuaNonLab and was supported by IMCINE, FilmaJalisco, Austin Film Society and Tribeca Film Fund. She works professionally as a scriptwriter and director for studios such as Fábula and Viacom.
