The Guadalajara International Film Festival is a cultural event of great relevance for Guadalajara and Mexico. It is considered as one of the most important showcases for the appreciation, promotion and distribution of Mexican and Ibero-American films.
The Festival is made by everyone and for everyone who attends. It is designed for the public's enjoyment, so they can get close and encounter through a variety of activities, the preeminent films and filmmakers from the region. As the premier film festival in Latin America, FICG serves as a rich forum for the creative exchange between professionals, filmmakers, critics, students, and audiences of Ibero-America.
All kinds, all genres, it is a diverse selection of international movies, including national films. Its Official Section is composed of features, documentaries, and short films from Mexico and Ibero-America.
The complete program will be published two weeks in advance from the beginning of the Festival. However, we will constantly post updates on our website before that date, so stay tuned for more news.

Anyone can assist to the Festival, with or without an accreditation.
Without the accreditation, a person can assist to most screenings and events by buying a ticket. They will be available days in advance at the box office for each venue. However, there are also free and public activities during the Festival that anyone can attend.
To attend the Festival with an accreditation these are the two categories available:
Press Accreditation: If you are a press member intending to cover the Festival, get all the information you need here.
Industry Accreditation: If you are part of the film industry and you are interested on participating, fill out the form here.
The full list of parallel activities occurring during the festival can be consulted on our website www.ficg.mx which is constantly updated. The Charity Galas are special nightly film screenings that take place at Teatro Diana. These premieres are attended by celebrities and special guests who greet the public and media at the red carpet. The public can attend by purchasing a higher-priced ticket. The total amount for ticket sales is donated to a charity institution. Check this year’s program for more information.
For film submissions our registry opens in July and closes in December.
