Tsanko Petrov, un trabajador del ferrocarril, encuentra un botín de dinero en las vías del tren, decide regresarselo a la policía. El Estado lo premia con un nuevo reloj, que de pronto deja de funcionar. Mientras, Julia Staikova, la jefa de relaciones públicas del Ministro de Transporte, pierde el viejo reloj de Petrov, una reliquia familiar. Petrov desesperadamente empieza a recuperar su reloj y su dignidad.

Tsanko Petrov, a railroad, finds millions of leva on the train tracks. He decides to turn the entire amount over to the police, for which the state rewards him with a new wristwatch that soon stops working. Meanwhile, Julia Staikova, the head of PR for the Ministry of Transport, loses Pretov’s old watch, a family relic. Here starts his desperate struggle to recover both his old watch and his dignity.

Petar Valchanov codirigió el documental Parable of Life, marcando el inicio de una colaboración permanente con Kristina Grozeva, títulada en dirección cinematográfica. Realizan el cortometraje Jump, nominado en los European Film Awards en Clermont-Ferrand 2013. The Lesson (2014) es su debut en largometraje ficción, obteniendo varios premios en San Sebastián y festivales.

Petar Valchanov co-directed the documentary Parable of Life and marked the beginning of a permanent collaboration with Kristina Grozeva, she has a degree in film directing. Their short film Jump was nominated for the European Film Awards at Clermont-Ferrand, The Lesson is their feature debut, which won multiple awards at San Sebastian and others festivals.
