Synopsis
The Narcosatanist tells the story of Sara Aldrete, the protagonist of one of the most taboo crimes in Mexico, during the 1980s. For the first time, a docuseries details the events that led her to become part of the sect, Los Narcosatánicos, and end up with a life sentence for which she has spent over 30 years in prison. Through the recreations of events and the usage of various materials, the question arises: who really is Sara Aldrete: the scapegoat of a cruel justice system or one of the worst criminals alive? In the middle: all the possible versions, many enigmas, and a single incontrovertible truth: a ranch with 13 mutilated corpses.
Director
She studied Cinema at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, graduating with honors and specializing in Directing. Her short films have been presented in over 20 festivals around the world. For over 10 years, Carmen has had a relationship with Sara Aldrete, giving her unique access to her, her family, her file, and the case of Los Narcosatánicos.
