Synopsis

The story of Barney, an awkward high school student and Ron, his new digitally connected walking, talking and socializing device, which is supposed to be his 'Best Friend out of the Box'. Ron's hilarious malfunctions set against the backdrop of the social media age, launch them into an action-packed journey in which boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship.

Director

Sarah Smith is an English film director, producer, and writer and is also the co-founder Locksmith Animation. Jean-Philippe Vine started his animation career at Aardman Features and then moved to Pixar were he worked in story on Inside Out and The Good Dinosaur. Octavio Rodriguez is an animator artist who has worked at some of the finest animation studios including Disney, Nickelodeon and Pixar.
