Synopsis

Theresa became deaf at three months of age and lost her mother in the middle of a terrorist attack perpetrated by the guerrillas on September 5th, 1980. A drama based on real events that tells the love story between a father and his daughter, who embark on a journey in which they fight to survive in one of the most difficult times of the internal armed conflict in Guatemala. Based on a personal story by the director: her mother and brother were on the bus which received that September 5, 1980's attack.

Director

He traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico, to study a degree in Digital Cinema at UNIAT. His first feature, 12 Seconds, won the Netflix Mexico award and made him the first Guatemalan director to distribute his film in more than 60 regions around the world. He has three multi-award winning films: 12 Seconds, September (recognized by Netflix as a Latin American jewel) and Nebaj.
