Synopsis

Ana sometimes is short of breath. Her mother thinks it’s because during her pregnancy, for a moment she couldn’t breathe. It was the afternoon of February 13th, 1982, the day her father, Emil, was detained and disappeared. Now, amidst the silence and fear that reign in a post-war society, Ana submerges herself in the memory of those who knew her father, in the memories that have not been spoken or have been hidden, the only place where the remote possibility of finding his remains and attaining some sort of justice.

Director

She has worked as editor in feature films, shorts, video clips and TV. Asphyxia, her first feature film, was supported by the Government of Aragon and won 3 post-production awards in the Havana Film Festival and a post-production grant from Cinergia. Asphyxia has been awarded with the Special Jury Prize in Guadalajara IFF, the Fipresci award in Panama IFF and Best International Film in Bafici.
