Synopsis
In an isolated Yanomami land in the Amazon, the shaman, Davi Kopenawa Yanomani, tries to keep the spirits of the forest and the traditions alive, while the arrival of gold prospectors brings death and destruction to the community. Young folks are charmed by the goods brought by the white. Ehuana, who sees her husband disappear, tries to understand what happened in her dreams.
Director
He debuted with the animated film, A Story of Love and Fury, winner of the main award at the 2013 Annecy International Animation Film Festival. His second film, Ex Shaman, screened in the 2018 Berlinale Panorama and won the Glasshütte Award and Special Mention by the Jury. He wrote and directed documentary series, such as: Lutas.doc, Educação.doc and Guerras do Brasil.doc.
