Synopsis

Through an empathic record and a precise montage, Rancho invisibly observes, in an Argentine maximum-security prison, gestures, frictions and unique moments that help to build a choral story of characters who are not only united by the prison, but the violence and marginality in which they grew up.

Director

His first short film, Peregrinación, premiered at 2015 BAFICI. Rancho, his first documentary feature film, was selected at Berlinale Talents, winner of the Best First Film award at BAFICI 2021 and internationaly premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest. Bilbao, currently in post-production, won the INCAA Incubator award. It was selected at Ibero-American Meeting of Emerging Filmmakers and DocuLab.
